Akoustic Odyssey invited to play at WOMAD!
Akousic Odyssey take much pleasure in announcing that they have been invited into the 2009 program for WOMADelaide. This a very exciting development for the band and will be fantastic exposure for them.

New CD released!
The band's new CD "Ilios" was launched on Sunday the 10th August to a large and very appreciative audience at the Promethean on Grote St Adelaide.
The evening was a great success with special guest Alyisous Leeson warming the crowd up nicely with some beautiful solo flamenco guitar, and the inimitable Ewart Shaw providing entertainment of his own as host for the evening.
Akoustic Odyssey did not disappoint, and the crowd were treated to the debut performance of several new compositions in a 2 hour set which included songs from the new CD along with AkOd favourites.

Ilios CD Launch date set!
The date and venue for the launch of "Ilios" the bands latest CD release. A full length CD, the album is loaded with the bands trademark elcectic, intricate and rich compositions. A banquet of musical soul food! Akoustic Odyssey will play tracks from the album along with some material from their original self titled 2007 CD release.

Second Album "Ilios" nearly completed!
The band are currently putting the finishing touches on their much anticipated second album titled "Ilios", the title track from which can be found on the recently released "Falafel Time" EP. The details are beng finalised for the offical CD launch on August 10 at the Promethean, Grote St, Adelaide.

Akoustic Odyssey Nominated for SA Folk Awards 2008
Great News! Akoustic Odyssey were nominated for the "Most Outstanding Group/ Artist award in this year's South Australian Folk Awards. The band played a set along with the cream of local folk talent including the "Fiddle Chicks" during the SA State Folk Convention on the 9th of May 2008.
