Ingrid Wangel (former member)
Ingrid started learning classical violin at the age of six, and played in the SA Youth Orchestra. She has studied at the Sibelius Music Conservatory in Helsinki. She had a break from music during her university years, but was drawn back to playing after hearing an Irish band for the first time one St Patricks Day.
With Finnish Jean Sibelius as her great-great uncle, it is not surprising that she now enjoys playing not only classical but also celtic, bluegrass, jazz, greek and other world music.
Ingrid left the band in early 2008 and features on many tracks of Akoustic Odyssey's latest CD "Ilios".
