Akoustic Odyssey rock at WOMADelaide!
Akoustic Odyssey played to large (estimated 5,000 people) and enthusiastic crowd at WOMADelaide on March 7th. Taking to the beautiful Moreton Bay Stage at 5pm, they played an energetic and exciting set that had a group of younger and very enthusiastic WOMADelaideans on their feet and dancing the whole time. Not to mention the more sedate, toe tapping, and very vocal remainder of the crowd that seemed to stretch on right up to the distant fence line!

The WOMADelaide crowd showed their recognition and appreciation for the energy, the compositions and the musicianship. The performace was a fantastic experience for all, and most likely a taste of bigger things to come for the group!

Akoustic Odyssey was excited to read some great feedback about our recent WOMADelaide appearance!

According to Micheal.... "Adelaide's Akoustic Odyssey have gained a large following who were very happy to dance at the foot of the stage and give them a standing ovation at the end of the set. The music was energetic, with changing musical landscapes and expert playing keeping the interest level high throughout."

The band's new CD "Ilios" was launched on Sunday the 10th August to a large and very appreciative audience at the Promethean on Grote St Adelaide.

The evening was a great success with special guest Aloysius Leeson warming the crowd up nicely with some beautiful solo flamenco guitar, and the inimitable Ewart Shaw providing entertainment of his own as host for the evening.

Akoustic Odyssey did not disappoint, and the crowd were treated to the debut performance of several new compositions in a 2 hour set which included songs from the new CD along with AkOd favourites.
